Our Story / History

The Zimbabwe Pensioners Support Centre Trust (ZPSCT) is a registered non-profit organization established to provide welfare, social protection, and empowerment support to pensioners and vulnerable communities across Zimbabwe.

The Zimbabwe Pensioners Support Centre Trust (ZPSCT) was born out of a critical necessity: to protect those who built our nation. Following years of economic volatility that eroded lifelong savings and pensions, thousands of elderly Zimbabweans were left without the means to afford basic nutrition or life-saving medication.

ZPSCT was founded to bridge this gap, transforming from a grassroots movement into a registered Trust dedicated to ensuring that no pensioner faces their twilight years in hunger or isolation.

The ZPSCT has been a lifeline for elderly citizens living below the poverty line, many of whom face chronic food shortages, lack of access to healthcare, and deteriorating living conditions.

Our Mission & Values

Mission:

To provide holistic support systems—encompassing nutrition, healthcare, and social welfare—that empower Zimbabwean pensioners to live with dignity and security

Values

Compassion: We treat every beneficiary as a family member

Integrity: We maintain absolute transparency in how we manage resources.

Dignity: We believe aging should be a period of honor, not hardship.

Inclusivity: We support pensioners across all backgrounds and regions.

Operational Values

To maintain donor confidence and effectiveness, the organization operates under three main pillars:

Transparency: Ensuring all supporters are fully informed of the fund's activities and challenges.

Accountability: Maintaining a traceable paper trail for every donation and conducting regular reviews.

Uniqueness: Driving the cause through passionate volunteerism and goodwill without government funding.

OUR CORE OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of the Zimbabwe Pensioners Support Centre Trust (ZPSCT) (also known as the Zimbabwe Pensioner Support Fund or ZPSF) is to provide essential aid, primarily food parcels, basic medicine, and clothing, to destitute pensioners in Zimbabwe who have lost their savings due to hyperinflation and economic turmoil.

  • To alleviate suffering and enhance the well-being of destitute pensioners in Zimbabwe by providing regular consignments of food, basic medical supplies, walking aids, and clothing.

  • To ensure that pensioners feel valued and cared for by delivering aid directly to retirement homes and individuals across various towns and cities, focusing on those in remote areas who receive less support. This helps combat the despair that some pensioners experience due to their financial circumstances.
  • To collaborate with other aid organizations, such as SOAP and the CFU , to expand the reach and effectiveness of support efforts for farming pensioners and others in need.

  • To operate with complete transparency and accountability in all fundraising and distribution activities, ensuring all donors are fully informed and that there is a traceable paper trail for every cent handled.

  • To raise public awareness and fundsfor the plight of Zimbabwean pensioners, relying entirely on public and corporate donations to sustain the mission and expand relief efforts as funds allow.
